Urban League of Louisiana · Workforce AI workshop

AI for career skills.

A four-hour, hands-on workshop for participants in Urban League of Louisiana workforce programs. Use AI to rewrite a resume bullet, draft a cover letter for a real posting, prep for interviews, and turn a vague goal into a plan you can actually work.

No prerequisites. Bring a laptop or phone, an email you can check, and a real job posting if you have one in mind.

Workshop 1 · Career skills

Four hands-on activities. One four-hour session.

Sharpen a resume bullet. Draft a cover letter that addresses what the posting actually asked for. Practice interview questions in STAR format. Turn a vague goal into a week-by-week plan.

Workshop 2 · Tech & IT

Five hands-on activities for IT and help desk careers.

What this workshop is

  • Free tools first. Every AI tool we recommend has a free tier. Paid options are noted only where they earn the cost.
  • Beyond the big four. Most workshops only show Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot. We also use Grok, Kimi, Z.ai, HuggingChat, Perplexity, and Poe.
  • Actually interactive. Each activity walks a real task in steps with a self-check rubric. Not a lecture with a lab at the end.
  • No tracking. This site collects no analytics, sets no cookies, and stores nothing about you. Your work saves to your browser only.
